Attractions at Ag-Grow The introduction
of special events at Ag-Grow has proven to be crucial in the continuing
volume of successful business experienced by exhibitors. All events
are specifically desgned to attract the desired demographic and
assist in creating the atmosphere Ag-Grow is renowned for. Companies
directly involved as sponsors are adamant that these events are
hugely successful as an additional marketing tool. If you wish to

Working Cattle Dog Trials is unstoppable as nominations
have trebled to a massive 130 competitors in previous competitions.
The title is strongly contested and the event's reputation continues
to grow as it appeals to the massive cattle industry within the
surrounding regions. The Queensland Superior
Beef Bull Sale is now considered one of the leading multi-breed
stud sales and an annual event amongst those within the industry
seeking high quality bulls. Similarly
the Super Steer Show and Sale showcases the "cream"
of the Central Highlands commercial cattle industry to an increasing
audience drawn from across Australia. It has grown to include a
heifer section in recent years that has been very positively received. Both
events continue to provide some of the highest recorded Queensland
cattle prices annually. The
Open and Non-Pro Championship Cutting is a new addition. This
event will complement the highly successful horse sale and challenges. It
adds an exciting element for spectators in the equine section.
The Invitation Horse Sale was introduced in response
to demand from the rapidly developing equine industry within the
Central Highlands. The sale has been an outstanding success with
an excellent range of quality horses being presented. It is also
complemented by a display of local horse studs, allowing potential
buyers to both view catalogued horses before the sale and see the
very best bloodlines the region has to offer. The Open and Ringer's Challenge is spread over several
months leading up to Ag-Grow and directly focused on attracting
the attention of the rural community through its association with
local show societies. Due its increasing popularity this event is
growing to reach an audience from Mt Isa to Warwick. Introduced
to complement the rapidly growing equine section of the field day
the challenge appeals to the broader interests of Ag-Grow visitors
from all industries.
Ag-Grow operates several refreshment areas during the event. These areas are very popular and are a highlight of the regions social calendar. Live entertainment is in the Main Bar each evening.
This is a great way to unwind and socialise with
fellow exhibitors and your clients. A courtesy bus into town operates
from the main bar half hourly after 9pm on Friday night for your
convenience. Ag-Grow QMIX hosts a full program of interest to everyone attending the field day. From the Riversands Exhibitor Wine Tasting, seminars, Fashion Parades and private functions. If you would like to access this area or enquire about any of the above please contact Admin.
