Message from Lawrence Springborg, Ag-Grow 2008

It’s an honour and a privilege to not just attend Ag-Grow QMIX, but also to officially open the Emerald agricultural and mining field days – that have grown to become one of the top five field days in Australia.

With my farming background, I enjoy the opportunity to spend time inspecting the extensive displays of new equipment, tools and machinery and catch up with visitors, not just from Central Queensland, but from all over the State.

I’m always amazed how Ag-Grow has evolved and grown to the point where it now attracts more than 20,000 visitors over the three days, helped in no small way by the addition of displays of mining equipment and technologies since 2006.

I’ll be travelling to Emerald on Friday, July 11, to spend the day at the field days and I look forward to catching up with as many of you as possible to hear your views on farming, rural life and what needs to happen in your region.
