A dog is truly a man’s best friend when handling cattle with this precision. The dog trials have been with us for over 30 years and have not wavered once during that time.
As the dogs and their master’s compete with one another to “handle a herd of cattle” around an obstacle course they are allotted points in the overall competition.
Working Cattle Dog Trials Winner’s Presentation on Saturday the 20th of June at around 12.00pm.
Competitors come from far and wide to compete in this event which remains as popular today as it was over 30 years ago.

Day one of the Open Trials… All competitors will run their dogs to compete for a place in the Finals on day two.

The final Day of the Working Cattle Dog Trials Competition for 2026. We will announce our winners with the highest scoring handler and his/her dog over two rounds.
